Hello all.
As of today I just got my victor V running (yes!!!), found an old phonograph collector in a basement in manhattan, grabbed a record and for the first time heard it play and realized I want to get a nice horn for the machine (anyone???) and maybe even a record cabinet that would look fitting.
Which leads me to...
Ive had this US Lakeside backmount cylinder machine for years and it is sitting out of state, out of sight, doing nothing. The machines are some of my favorite, but its doing little good at the moment. The machine is not operational, but is almost complete, minus the reproducers (of course) and there is some damage. The case looks refinished to me, there is no lid, no crank, and the large fly wheel on the left spins, but looks like it has a metal collar added on to keep a crack tight. The tone arm is intact, but the part that connects to the back bracket is partially cracked and needs new tiny screws to attach it. There are a few more minor problems, but if you are seeking this machine you realize how rarely they show up. As a whole, it does present decently, you get the whole effect as most of the major parts are at least partially present.
Im just putting it out there to see if there is any general interest in this thing. I was recently in touch with a collector who was looking for one and I thought I may part with it to upgrade and finish my new and totally mesmerizing Victor or if I should hold on to it, or just throw it on ebay? Theres a picture attached. Let me know if you have any thoughts, maybe what it would go for?

If it were mine, I'd be restoring it to working order whether I was going to sell it or not. If i then sold it, I would definately list it on ebay and watch the vultures swarm
