That was a rude hit. And the sellers are so proud of their handiwork! As a testament to their craftspersonship, I, too, am now "distressed."

But I cannot say I wasn't warned…

My favorite part is how they knew that it was a rare piece of history and effed it all up anyway. Hacks.

It does make you want to weep. On the other hand the inside was not ruined and it looks like the paint may have just be slathered on over the original finish, so it might be salvageable if someone had the mechanicals and was looking for a cabinet.
