Thank you Gene

Post by briankeith »

After moving a lot of talking machines around and some furniture (do we really need furniture?) I finally found a quiet corner for the Victor Orthophonic 8-9 I bought off my good friend Gene - thanks Gene,,,, looking good :)

I have always thought the 8-9 looked out of place in my collection. I know it's the paint. I had one a couple years ago that was missing one of the do dads around the door knob. A local collector made one out of plaster and painted it to match. I swear you couldn't tell it was a home made one. Very talented man who sadly has passed away.
BTW: Has anyone ever seen a 8-8?

Yes, I've got an 8-8. Cool machines, which is how Brandon ended up with his 8-9, I just didn't need both!

I have a friend looking for one. I have never seen one, but he would pay top dollar.
