Hello,
I am repairing an Edison Home phonograph I purchased. The metal patent plate was supposed to be held on with 2 small pins. One of these is missing and the other is loose. What do you guys replace these with or use that looks correct? I read that they break when you remove them.
Thanks!
Chase

If you don't have access to a parts machine to rob the pins, I would buy some little brass nails and use them. I would think you could insert them through the holes, tip the bedplate over and while holding them firm against the ID tag, tap them to side and bend them over. Jerry Blais
