Victrola 3 Spring Direct Wind Motor Query

Victrola 3 Spring Direct Wind Motor Query

I just came across a Victrola 3 spring motor (1 ¼" wide springs) with direct winding, that is, the 5/16" female crank attaches to the spring barrel shaft for winding. It has spiral/quad cut spindle gear. With this motor came 2 other similar motors, but those have indirect winding, with the ⅜" male crank attaching to a gear that connects to the spring barrel shaft gear. I have searched the Victor Data Book and found many applications for the 2 indirect winding motors, but nothing for the 3 spring direct wind motor.

What model would the direct wind motor have been used in?
