Oak VV-XII (second iteration) with matching side-loading cab

Post by JohnM »

Did anyone on the TMF snarfle-up this rare oak VV-XII on a matching base that was on Rhode Island Craigslist a few days ago?

I actually contacted the seller the first day it was posted and left proper contact information, but I never got a response. Too bad considering how rare this is. :cow:

I would start by contacting the poster that has almost fifteen "wanted Phonographs" ads all over RI and beyond....

Yeah...here in Montana too and all the way to Washington and Idaho as well.

Very hard to find one posted and most times they are gone in a day.

Some nice ones in the Phoenix Arizona area though.
I'm surprised in the difference in prices too.

I hardly ever go to Phoenix. Need4Art, AZ, George, etc. have that territory. I wonder if any of them bagged that kluged Edison 'Opera' that was auctioned there a few days ago?

you mean the guy who's always looking for XVII's and 130's and XVIII's and the like (who's posted here occasionally as well)? this doesn't seem his sort of machine - if it's not perfect, he doesn't seem interested, and when it's not perfect, he only seems willing to pay bottom dollar (and he wants dozens of photos of every possible detail before committing to anything).

I had contacted the seller on this back in mid-December when it was listed on Craigslist. I agreed to purchase it at their asking pricing and to come and pick it up when they would first be available. The morning I was to come pick it up they sent me an email stating that they had an offer higher then their asking price and I would not be able to purchase it. I sent them an email thanking them for their lack of ethics. If anyone wishes to contact the seller their number is 575-545-4213, but I would be cautious.
