Heigh Ho, Everybody by the 7 Blue Babies

I "chatted" with Norman Bruderhofer today about getting a copy of his cylinder record of the rare 7 BLUE BABIES Heigh Ho, Everybody, which is out of production, and, that I just missed seeing on a listing and sale on Ebay last month.
He told me that he could make a new one for me if I could get at least one additional buyer.
I could buy two but maybe some of you would be interested and, being indestructible, they would be a great add to a collection.
Please let me know if you have any questions or are interested, either here or in a PM. I believe that the folks who own this are very favorable towards it.

Yay! I'm glad this works out...I have a copy of that cylinder, it is a must have, definitely a gem!

Maybe we can get enough orders and this would make a nice run of them for Norman.

Still can't wait for his release of Honey!

I agree. This is a great reccord with the Dorseys and Miff Mole.

I'm the culprit who bought the 7 Blue Babies cylinder from Ralph. Yes, it's a great record! Heigh Ho, Everybody, Heigh Ho, which was recorded in June, 1929, does not have the Dorseys or Miff Mole in the band. I checked it with my Brian Rust Jazz books. It appears that the Dorseys left this band in Dec. 1928 and Miff Mole rarely played with them. Miff Mole is listed as a member of this band for my recording of Ermine Calloway's Is there anything wrong with that?/ Good little, bad little you 52519. Marc.

For the New York, May 27, 1929 recording date for Heigh Ho, Everybody, the personnel of the Seven Blue Babies were Angie Rattiner t., Carl Loeffler tb., Pete Pumiglio cl., as, Chauncey Gray p., Tommy Felline bj, Chick Condon d. Jack Kaufman was the vocalist, but his name was listed as Jack Dalton. Why, I don't know. Maybe a conflict with recording contracts.

I should really take a more frequent look into the forum threads.
It's just that I have to get a minimum quantity of cylinders made from a resurrected title as the necessary proper cleaning efforts are not paying off with one record. After two years, I finally was able to acquire the Edison Needle type test pressing, from which the previously unissued Take B was sourced from to make the new cylinder.

But thanks to your help, there are now two collectors willing to purchase a copy. So, I will make a re-run of five copies. After all it's still great that I have this opportunity at all. And also thanks for the great feedback in the other thread. It is deeply appreciated.

The next title "Honey" is now in final production. I have tested a sample record, which plays really great. This one has a very strong volume, comparable to "Give your little Baby lots of Lovin' " but somewhat smoother, good for any diamond reproducer.

Sophie Tucker's "Some of these Days" will follow afterward, but that may take some time.
