Some new and recent Edison Disc diaphragms. Part I.

Post by larryh »

As I said I would do I have dug though my existing diaphragms that I can locate at the moment and will post photos of them here. Some of these are still being produced, others you may run into when rebuilding a reproducer if the original has been replaced. There were many more than I have on hand. And there are more being produced still that I haven't an example of. Of the ones I did have and can't find was the white foam board "Krapes" diaphragm. Those are still running on ebay should you wish to see one.

There is not room to show them all on this page so go to Recent Diaphragms part 2 for conclusion of the ones I had available to show.

Notice how 3 out of the 4 shown on this page
all have some effort made at reproducing at least
*some* of the features seen on the real ones.

The cork, and the cone are there for very specific
reasons.
