Horn for phonograph, radio, or what?

What sort of horn is this? It looks like it could go on a rear-mount machine with no horn elbow. Rather the horn would slip right into the torn arm. Has anyone seen this sort of thing before? Perhaps it's not even phonograph related?

It is a Magnavox model R3B radio speaker horn, early version.
