I saw that yesterday . . . I don't think it has ever occurred to the seller to remove the grill. I have a mahogany Crystola. If I wasn't on the road, I'd grab that oak one in a hot minute (if the mirrors are intact, that is!)

I spoke with the owner...and the glass horn is all intact...200 bucks too much?? What do u think as he lives 10 mins from me...

You should go for it. A machine like that would be worth around $100 with a regular horn, and that glass horn is NOT a common thing.

Doesn't look oak to me and the tonearm is broken, or is it? Damned CL pictures! Still a unique one to be sure...

I dont think its oak, either...also he swears it works..he also told me he lowered the price to 125.00!!!?????...I am going to call him tonight and get more info..maybe swing by and take a look on Sat. if he still has it.

hm, if he lives 10 minutes away and wants just $125, I'd be there tonight if I could and grab it. You can't go wrong at that price regardless!

Looks like mahogany to me (typical) and maybe a broken tone arm. Still, lots of these machines use stock tone arms and it probably wouldn't be too hard to find something that would fit. At $125 I'd give it some serious thought.

Sorry about saying it is oak . . . I probably looked at it at without my glasses at 2am after working a 16-hour day. Sorry for any confusion!
