Has anyone seen a metal perimeter of a Victrola #4A diaphragm? This reproducer has a mica diaphragm with metal ring around the perimeter. I attempted to rebuild it with the Victrola gaskets from Walt Sommers. The diaphragm did not seem to need replaced the rubber is still soft and pliable. The only part that needs replaced is the back flange.
Were these early or late model reproducers?

Steve Medved told me that later in the production of the #4 Victor used the #2 diaphragms with the metal ring to make them fit.
