This disc has some condition issues with some edge chips and lamination issues. The speech side plays well with little background noise. The 2nd side has a lamination crack into the grooves

Having listened to a transfer of this disc, I still wonder whether it might somehow have been electrically recorded from the original telephone transmission...

I don't believe this was a recording from the transmission (there were a couple of takes done, as I recall). I also have a copy of this and posted my transfer of it here sometime back, mine was found in a $1 box of DDs at an auction. I didn't even know it was there until I was going through them the next day, talk about lucky. It was of the prizes of my collection.
