Leatherfront Victrola at auction April 13

Post by Chilesave »

This is one you don't see too often, in fact, I have never seen one. I wish I were close enough to make the trip

Wow! This one has intact feet (at least two), and the leather is pretty clean. (The leather on mine is FILTHY and not having to clean it would have been great :) )

Most definitely worth restoring. Someone here please get this!

It's an electric model with a badly torn grill cloth, a broken tonearm bracket, and some veneer loss. It is also not running. The pot metal reproducer is present. Bidding is currently $61!

While I certainly appreciate the idea that postings of this nature are "helpful" to other collectors, I would hope that the posters are aware that these posts go against the interests of collectors who are already aware of these items and are seeking to add them to their own collection. :geek:

Did you really think you were the only one who knew about it? It's on the flippin' internet, the whole world knows it's there.

Garret, get over it. It's an auction - you can easily own it. All you have to do is outbid everyone else.

My Credenza was in far worse condition when I bought it and is now a beautiful machine. This one looks very doable. It is just too far to Chantilly.
