Has anybody tried powder coating a back bracket? And if so did you have any trouble getting decals to stick to it? If not could you then shellac over the decals?

Yes it works great-yes decals stick to it-Yes you can use both shellac of lacquer over it.
But if you use any type of metal filler except lead under it the heat will really mess up the filler.
