I don't say this lightly, and in fact, I haven't ever said it here before. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Early Edison Standard Speaker and Automatic reproducers, Berliner, Zonophone, and Columbia floating reproducers all had diaphragms made from a very thin piece of glass. Called Crystal or French Glass, these diaphragms are very fragile. Then and now, an inadvertent bump, or absent minded drop may well result in a broken diaphragm. No problem, the trade offered replacements. Seen here is an original container with 33 original replacement French Glass diaphragms.
All 33 diaphragms are intact and ready to use, albeit a little dirty. These diaphragms are the original, therefore they sound like the original when used as a replacement in your reproducer.
I have seen individual original diaphragms offered for $20 each, but never a quantity, and never in the original container.
The price is $600.00 plus insured shipping to you. No PayPal on this, but checks are fine.
