Here we see an ad for an Edison Automatic Reproducer and Reproducer.
The Edison Automatic Reproducer appeared in 1892 and enjoyed a 10-year production run. Unlike the Standard Speaker, the Edison Automatic was designed solely to play records, having only a reproducing jewel on its stylus bar. A separate Edison Automatic Recorder was required for recording records
For sale today we find an Edison Automatic Reproducer, and its associated recorder. They are housed in a very special original box with an insert that allows for safe storage and transport. While the box is wonderful, and very rarely found, this Automatic reproducer has an accessory weight, providing a little extra pressure on the record, and producing a little extra sound.
Both the reproducer and recorder are in excellent condition and work wonderfully. Both have good jewels and french glass diaphragms. While I have never recorded with the recorder, I see no reason why it would not perform well.
The price is $575 plus insured shipping to you. No PayPal on this, but checks are fine.
