Cheney Georgian part measurements

Post by thatonejohn »

Hi all, I picked up a cabinet for a Cheney Style 5 Georgian and I need to find some parts to make it whole again.

Does anybody know if the tonearms came in different lengths? and same goes for the horn, does anybody know the dimensions of the horn?

The parts I know it needs are the gold plated tonearm and reproducers, the horn and horn support, and possibly the record storage area shelves.

Any help would be appreciated, as the cabinet is too nice to let it devolve into a shabby chic wine cabinet (except for a clean drilled hole for the previous owner's stereo power cord).

Thanks,

Cheneys are nice machines. Good luck with your restoration. :)

The key for this machine is listed on this site. http://www.oldcrank.com/articles/keys/keys.html

That is a really pretty cabinet! Cheney reproducers, both lateral and vertical and in their original boxes even, show up quite often on eBay.
