OT - Introducing myself
I started collecting phonographs and such and found this site. I don't have too many phonographs yet but am excited to learn and keep reading the information from those who have experience. I saw someone else introduce themselves, so I decided to do the same. I look forward to learning and talking with everyone!

Welcome to The Talking Machine Forum—we’re glad to have you with us.
Since I hadn’t yet sent you a welcoming private message...if you would like assistance with anything on the board, please feel free to let me know; John (Neophone, the TMF founder) drafted me to set up and maintain the forum, and I also serve as our tech support.
Feel free to check out the stock avatar gallery, although if you have something that you would like to use as an avatar image, you’re welcome to send it to me and I can make it as an avatar for you. (Also, you could specific a machine, label, etc. that you would like to use and I can see what I can do about getting you an avatar image of it.)
You may also wish to check out the tutorials.
Feel free to ask me any questions you may have with regards to using the board, computers, the internet or the technical aspects of this place—post any phonograph or music questions for other (more knowledgeable) people to answer.

Welcome, SonnyPhono!
Don't be afraid to ask any question - - you may be sure that we have all asked the same question at some point.
...And the only dumb question is the one not asked!

Welcome Sonny. If you do run into a tree, we'll start calling you Bonophono!

Why do we need signatures when we are on a first avatar basis?

Welcome Sonny! Everyone here is very welcoming of every one (this is coming from a 15 year old phono collector
)! So don't worry about stupid questions...Just remember what George said. And as for that tree joke... i don't get it...
but it's probably for better!
