Safe Travels to Jerry Blais!

Post by Dave D »

Jerry is like Santa. He travels a long distance once per year and brings goodies to all the good kids! See you on Saturday, Jerry!

I don't suppose you have the NORAD website address we can use to follow Jerry's journey?

So far it's been a great trip. Stan and I planned to leave on Thursday the 2nd because we had nine stops to make before Union. Our plans changed when Stan had a last minute family commitment on Friday afternoon. He bought a one way ticket to Denver so I drove the 1200+ miles in two days to pick him up. From there we drove across Kansas stopping at several good antique shops. I bought a RCA clock than mentions radios and TVs. It's a nice clock but Nipper is absent. I also bought a cool 1962 Schwinn banner that promotes the Schwinn American. (Is it ok to mention bikes here? :) We had an interesting visit with a Des Moines collector yesterday. Today we had a great visit with Larry in Ottumwa. Since the trip started a Forum friend asked if there was room for the Edison Labratory machine offered for sale near Union. That will be the last stop before Union and there's just enough space for it to fit. Can't wait for Union! Jerry Blais

I am a bit jealous of Jerry and Stan being on the road without me this year! I will be at the show but could not manage the trip this time. It is great fun and I look forward to more trips with Jerry in the future.

I hope everyone going to Union will take lots of pictures to show to those of us who couldn't make it. :(
