what machine is this?
is this a real or a fake? It's being sold close to where I am..this is the only pic I have of it and have not seen it in person. Thanks for your help.

It looks like a Swiss machine to me. It would be nice to know what the name tags and reproducer says. You might want to post in the British & Euro section.

With the HMV logo horn, the Parlophone brake, the soundbox of some other make and the brand new adornments on the box I would say this is definitely a frankenphone... not worth the 700 they´re asking maybe not even a 100 as spares...

Actually don't be so quick to dismiss this machine. That horn is probably worth over $700 alone. Its super rare. See my post from a while back about this Spanish G&T gramophone.

this is probably another one of those frankenphones made by the man who is known as the gramophone father in turkey
he assembled some quite nice looking machines over the years from spare parts (better looking that those india crapophones)
and yes some of those parts may be rare and worth money
you can find the man's shop in the grand bazaar in istanbul
