My most recent machine is a VV-XVIII in need of albums ( http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... =2&t=26783 ). If anyone has a set they are willing to sell, please let me know. Tonight, I listed a set of record boxes for VTLA/L-Door XVI, a trade is possible for these albums if you so choose/need them.
Thanks,
Matt

Matt, could you please describe exactly what kind of albums you need? I have a complete set for one of the Victrolas that I thought would fit my XVI, but it doesn't. If it would happen to fit yours I would be interested in a trade.

Victor data book says 11 10" albums and 5 12" albums. I think the arrangement would be A-I 10" albums, J-N 12", O and P back to 10".

Re: WANTED: Set of Record Binders/Albums for VV-XVIII
Hi Matt,
I had an XVIII that came with all the originals except 2 of them. Here are images of the style. What is unusual about these are they have leather pulls not gold, gold nipper on cover, taped pages (see picture of open album). They show up, i was unfortunatly looking for A and H only. I ended up selling it before I found those two. Good Luck and I will keep my eyes open. John

Do I have the letter sequence correct? I remember reading that one letter in 10 inch was unique to the XVIII, XVII & 130 line.

I do not recall the 10" 12". Measure your available space and compare to this photo which was full up (I used a XIV A and H until I could find originals. If I had a steady hand and a gold pen I would have been all set!

Matt, the 10" P is the hard one to locate. Only used in the XVII & XVIII type cabinet with the below configuration. I almost forgot....there was also a matching index book. Normally stored next to the 'A'.

Thanks! That's the configuration I thought it was. I went thru all my extra albums and found 2 correct ones. It's a start!gramophone78 wrote:Matt, the 10" P is the hard one to locate. Re: WANTED: Set of Record Binders/Albums for VV-XVIII
Sorry, it looks like my set is from a different model. A-G in 10" and H-M in 12" all with gold pulls. I think they must be from a non-L-door VV-XVI. Would love to trade them for an L-door set.

Andreas,
I've been looking for a set of non-L-door albums with the gold pulls for a while. I've sent you a PM.
