I created the above discussion group on facebook to talk specifically about early record making, playback machines are NOt talked about, except to play back the recordings you make. So it is not a talking machine collector's discussion group, but rather a recording technician group. Also discussions about diaphragms, horns, studio recording machines, wax formulations pressing records,molding master blanks and cylinders, diaphragm tests and choice. Transcription of these recordings is ok to talk about though that is the preservation of them, such as cleaning and equipment choice. However general collecting talk is not for this group. No discussions of crapophones, or ebay wording mistakes, and such.
