WANTED: Edison Edicraft Appliances - Toaster, Percolator etc

Post by HisMastersVoice »

Since I know some of you Edison collectors have these, I'm looking for Edicraft appliances, such as the toaster, automatic toaster, percolator, waffle iron, iron, siphonator, etc.

I have a near mint clamshell toaster with original cord / switch. One clam works perfectly the other clam works when it wants to haha, maybe a loose connection who knows. I actually have two of these - one is NOS and not for sale sorry. The other make me an offer I can't refuse. I also have an Edicraft sugar & creamer. There was also an Edicraft vacuum cleaner. Looks like e re-tagged old Kirby.

I sent you a PM :D

I'd be interested in seeing a photo of the Edicraft vacuum cleaner, I've never heard of or seen one!

You know Kirby still refurbishes their old machines. It may be worth calling them to see if they'd do it. Current price is $350 for a full tear down, rebuild and polish.

They also remove and discard the original bag, cord, trim, wheels, and plastic and replace everything with the most disgusting shade of tan. I service and restore all of my own appliances to original specifications for free :-)

Also, I have not yet located the Kirby-made Edicraft, just the photo.

Better skills at that kind of restoration than I. I'd just remove all the Edison specific parts myself. No harm no foul. Good luck in your hunt.
