My new Toy. K&R Toy Gramophone that is.

Post by Mlund2020 »

My new toy K&R gramophone just arrive today. I think I was more excited to see it than it's first owner. That child that got it for Christmas some 125 years ago. It looks great with my other K&R Toy. I think they make great bookends.

WOW!!!!! Amazing. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Can you post a picture of the ID plate? Is there another one on the shelf behind the Berliner?

I heard of this through a friend....who unfortunately did not tell me about the auction in advance :-(. The price was very reasonable for an almost mint condition K & R. I think this machine is the most amazing thing to have been sold this year, if not this decade! The previous owner had a custom made box for it? Could you please share with us perhaps what the 5" Berliners that were with it are? I am told one was "Lords Prayer" very hot!!

CONGRATULATIONS on a great addition to your collection.

The other item from the pics I have seen from the friend that I found quite desirable in the sale was an english HMV for around 1000 euro with seamless horn with a transport box for the horn. Must have been a real quality auction.
