Can anyone provide me with a solution to hearing a chirping sound while the turntable motor is running on my Brunswick Panatrope CORTEZ? It's a universal type and has seen only about 24 playing sides from my end after receiving it a couple of months ago. (I have no idea how many times it was played by former owner who said he restored the motor)
I have never owned a motorized vintage phonograph before and know nothing about their workings or repairs.
Hoping this is something I can fix...maybe just by oiling the governor mechanism somewhere. Can send video of it for example to hear what's going on.

Try putting a few drops of oil on the governor speed adjust pad. Sometimes those dry out and chirp.
