Needle Dispenser

Post by ColoradoPhonograf »

Over the weekend I was able to obtain this British needle dispenser from a fellow collector. It loads up the needles in the cartridge and then you pull back the plunger and gravity feed allows a new needle to be ready to be pushed out the end of the cannon. It's about 2 ½" tall and is an interesting accessory. It was a pricey addition to the collection but is kind of fun. The marketing gimmick was that you would always know you obtained a sharp needle by using this item.

Happy collecting,

What a smart invention!

And useful to, if it works as stated.
Fumbling around in the small needle tin isn't always pleasant

Thanks for sharing.

I've never seen anything like it! Looks as if it could also be used by James Bond like it is Q's version of a Bulgarian umbrella LOL!

"What an interesting lapel pin, Mr. Bond."

"Than you, yes. I have a fondness for miniature Napoleonic War cannon."

"May I look closer?"

"Of course, please."

click

"Uuhhhhnnnnnh . . . ."

"Pointless."

Extremely cool- but it seems it would be quite fiddly to fill. Probably very useful for public demonstrations when you've got to change needles swiftly.

It just hit me- it must have used pre-filled needle magazines.
