victrola vv-vi Question????
I think I know the answer to my question before I ask it! But I am looking for some expert thoughts. I have recently acquired a Victrola vv-vi, 1917. It has needle cups on both sides, rear corners. one for fresh needles, one with a cover for used ones. They look as if they were factory installed, no hack job or rough installation. I can't find any pics or videos of the vv-vi that show these needle cups. I don't think they are suppose to be there! Any thoughts? This machine has a tag below the Victor tag that says: Berliner Gramophone Company, Montreal Canada. Either way it is not a big deal, it works perfectly and looks great in our living room. It's not for anything only enjoyment. But would like to know if it is correct or not, just so I know.

Re: victrola vv-vi Question????
This would have been an after thought by a previous owner.

Re: victrola vv-vi Question????
I have never seen a VV-VI with needle cups. I suspect it was done by a handy owner or an upgrade offered by the dealer. Either way it sounds like a good idea. Jerry Blais
