Re: FOR SALE- Rare Record Lot- Inquire
I would say fair just by eyeballing it, nothing too major/ concerning. Actually just sold my last player, so have no way of doing a full audio test on it

$350 is the ballpark asking price...

Re: FOR SALE- Rare Record Lot- Inquire
As I said Curt, I'm open to discussion on the price, and I really don't know what the value on these records is. And I misspoke (mistyped, whatever it is) if it came off as an auction, if people are interested I'd appreciate getting insight on the value of them based on what veteran collectors put them at

Re: FOR SALE- Rare Record Lot- Inquire
I'm not being critical, but you should have some idea of what you want based on what you paid or know their value to actually be... Most record collectors buy records for content, not necessarily labels (there are exceptions, like Paramount, Black Swan or Black Patti and others). As far as the International record is concerned, a collector friend on this forum bought one from another record collector at a swap meet for $10. Is that the going rate? Who knows?
I agree that the labels are colorful and interesting, but the content leaves a lot to be desired. The other labels that I mentioned are desirable because they are typically race records made for the black listeners of that time and have a cross collecting interest, plus the content is usually interesting. The bottom line is that most collectors are not going to price them for you... you need to name the price and see if there are any takers. Just my opinion...

Re: FOR SALE- Rare Record Lot- Inquire
if you don't know what the value of these records are, you might do some research here
http://www.popsike.com/
which aggregates prices paid at auctions. Since disks on each of these labels have been sold on eBay, at least (although not necessarily these exact titles), in the past, I imagine you would get some useful data.
Best wishes, Mark
