I saw this auction on eBay and some things puzzle me. I am not an expert on these machines and am hoping some of you who ARE can help me understand what this is. With such a low serial number, I would expect this to be an early 4- door unit but the turntable is offset and the tone arm support has the hood found on later (8-30?) models, but the needle cups and information plate are in the position of the early machines. The picture of the information plate shows what appears to be some kind of lumpy finish over it. The machine I have is in the 16,000 range and has the centered turntable and tone arm support with no hood. Do you think someone replaced some of the parts on this machine?

Thanks for any insights!

Re: eBay Credenza
Yes. It looks to have some replacement parts.
The machine I have is in the 13,000 range, and it also has the centered turntable and tone arm support with no overhang.
