Fiber gear issue on a Phrynis motor

Post by phonodesbois »

I have a nice Phrynis cabinet but the fiber gear which moves the governor has just disappeared....
I did find a pic showing how the gear should be but I don't know how to get a new one.
At worst, is it feasible to make one, how to proceed and with which material?
Could someone help ?
Thanks,
Jeff

Pretty sure that's a Columbia built motor and it sure looks like a Columbia fiber gear! APSCO carries these fiber gears, and I'm sure Sitko or Vollema can help you out as well.
