FOR SALE: Herzog Mahogany Cabinet - $450

Right out of the storage unit, I have an unrestored as found Herzog Cabinet in mahogany. Although it's likely a sheet music cabinet, this cabinet has all of the classic Herzog detailing with great corner columns and "hairy claw feet". The cabinet needs some veneer repair work and will need to be refinished as the photos illustrate. But this would make a great display cabinet never the less. Has the original Herzog hardware but I don't think the key in the photos is original. Top measures approximately 20" by 25". It is 44" high.

$450.00 or reasonable offer.

Local Pickup (San Francisco California) or alternate shipping arrangements by buyer. I'll help getting it to any shipper you want such as Greyhound. But I'm pretty sure one of our West Coast collectors would also help in getting it to the Union Phonograph Show in June.

I'll bet that's a player piano roll cabinet. You should measure how deep the cabinet is on the inside and post that. I refinished one almost exactly like that for someone a few years ago. Very nice looking one too yet! Good luck with the sale now.

The interior cabinet depth would accommodate a 15-½" deep box. Can you tell me what the depth of a piano roll box is? And is there another venue where I could list this to player piano collectors?

Regular piano roll boxes for an 88 note player are about 13" long.
