FOUND: Corner Columns for Oak Opera / Late Model Triumph

Post by Mr Grumpy »

Hi, as the title suggests, I'm looking for corner columns for an oak Opera.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but a model 'F' Triumph shared the exact ones?
Was there another model Triumph with the same ones?

On page 129 of Frow's Edison Cylinder Phonograph Companion it states the following about Triumph Model-F's in an Opera case. "“Cabinet:The same as Models D and E. TRIUMPHS have been reported in OPERA cases, but the OPERA was marketed in the same month as this model and they would have been fitted privately, as the TRIUMPH may be dropped into the OPERA case".

I've seen sets of unfinished reproductions of these at phono shows, but don't remember who might have had them.
Perhaps Ron Sitko could help, but better call him soon! I think he takes a break starting at Thanksgiving!
Good luck.

Thanks Rich.
That book is actually on my Christmas 'want' list but I seldom get what I want and usually get what I 'need'.

Bob,
I've reached out to George but have yet to hear back, will try Ron tonight...
Thanks!
