Doodles Weaver Autograph on a Record Sleeve - HELP!

Yesterday, I was looking through a box of records I've had for years and discovered a record sleeve with signatures of Doodles Weaver, 7'7" Jr. Martin, Gloria Gardner, and Frankie Little. I know who Doodles Weaver is, but the rest of the names I am unfamiliar with and cannot find online.

I did find a signed Doodles Weaver photo on Ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/271307205235) to Junior Martin stating "We certainly had a great tour together". A clue, but no help identifying the other 3 names. Can anybody help me figure out who these folks are?

Frankie Little, Junior Martin, and Gloria Gardner all performed with Spike Jones and his City Slickers--as did Doodles Weaver. If you do a google search for any of their names along with "Spike Jones", you'll come up with some references.

For instance, I spotted a PDF image of a 1949 newspaper --

-- which could indicate that the signatures date from that time.

Pick up a copy of "Spike Jones and His City Slickers," by Jordan R. Young (see https://www.amazon.com/Spike-Jones-His- ... 0940410710 . It'll tell you all you need to know about Spike and the Gang. Might be a copy in your local library. I grew up listening to Spike and never recovered! That's why I'm the way I am....

Thanks for the info and the good advice! I need to find a decent Spike Jones record to go with this sleeve... 1949 would be an RCA Victor record. Time to start digging through the records!

The Jordan Young book has a complete discography of Spike in the Appendix, going all the way back to his earliest 78s and up through the CD re-issues, and including the LPs as well. It's worth owning for that reason alone, but it's fascinating reading for all Spike addicts. Many of the band members were still living when the book was in research, and their stories are rich! Spike was quite a character, but he could never kick the nicotine habit that ultimately did him in.

Thanks! I just joined Mr. Young's Spike Jones Facebook group and there is a wealth of specific info there about Spike Jones and these signatures. Most amazing to me was the Jr Martin signature. My all-time favorite sci-fi movie was THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL. I believe this was the first 'modern' sci-fi movie, after years of sci-fi movies that seemed to have been adapted from cowboy shoot-em-up movie scripts. Of course. Gort the robot was spectacular.

The folks at the 78 rpm Records and Cylinders Facebook group revealed to me that the actor who wore the Gort costume in that movie was none other than 7'7" Lock Martin, Jr, the same person who signed this sleeve as 7'7" Jr Martin. After more than 60 years, I finally have Gort's autograph! WOW!!

Those are two of my favorites. Spike Jone's version of the Tennessee Waltz also cracks me up. To appreciate it, though, you have to listen to the Patti Page version first.
