Panatrope 106

Post by Columbia78 »

I found a project Panatrope 106 that had the wrong soundbox on it, and got it really cheap. Well, fairly cheap, anyway, but it turns out the crank is missing although the seller swears it was in the clip when he sent it. Now, I've had cranks go missing inside horns before, but I can find no evidence of this so far, unless it's so far back up in the wooden horn that I can't locate it. Seems like with the wooden knob it wouldn't go up that far. Short of tearing apart the horn I'm forced to either find another crank or use the one for the Panatrope 109, which actually seems to fit but is way too long. Maybe I can thread something all the way through the horn to dislodge any foreign items (like me crank). One can only hope.
