I saw it on eBAY already. Beautiful machine. Good luck with your sale!

What's the SN by the way?

Thanks

do you have a photo of the electric motor? I've never seen one use that sort of flip switch (rather than the brake itself which doubles as a switch)... does the speed control do anything or is it just a remnant left on the motor board?

Wayne,

Beautiful phonograph! I have always liked the larger machines.

Enjoy the holidays!

I would buy it but then I would have to build a new house around it - a monster of a machine

Picture of underside of original windup motorboard with the electric motor is below. They drilled holes for the electrified version of motor and drilled a hole for the RCA toggle switch (I've seen this switch on the Radiola 66 and others). I wish they did not drill that switch hole and instead drilled a hole for the electric version brake/switch. I would make the power on/off method correct myself but that darn switch hole would still be there. Hence, it remains as is. Instead, I am more interested in the complete VV-XVII motorboard with 4-spring I am offering in the listing. I believe it is the same motor, switch, speed control, and design overall. The only thing I need to resolve, is the 2" short my spare 14" crank handle is. Anyone one have a spare 16" crank handle? I have and can get 2" long ⅜" thread connector nuts at Home Depot that are unfortunately course thread. I need ⅜" fine thread. I'll see what I can find or make today.

Yes, I know this machine is bigger than most can handle space for, but I bet there's 2 uprights in moat collections that folks could give up space for a Victor Period Model. Or even give up one upright and one record storage cabinet. Otherwise it's only 12" wider on each side than a L-Door machine. Though if anyone finds their Victor Gothic 500 Period Model to big, I'd be happy to come by and create some space for ya.

Lastly, thanks Keith for the Holiday cheer.

It sure is a nice machine, but I've already got a VE Louis XVI console, sn 502, so I'm at my quota space wise (and then some). Good luck with the sale!
