Keenophone model 20

Hi Folks,

I need a little help here. I have a model 20 Keenophone in nice shape. Over the last 10-15 years I can only think of about five that I have seen or heard of for sale...varying prices but also different models. Has anyone seen one of these for sale in the past couple of years for me to get a basis for value? I personally like the machine and am not in disposal mode to get rid of it, but I have a daughter starting college, and education trumps toys..any advice or info is much appreciated..

I have no idea of value but it's a sellers market with a machine that unusual. I hope you don't have to sell. It would be very difficult to replace. Jerry Blais

Hi-- I just wanted to mention that is not a Keen-O-Phone Model "25." It's a "20." The "20" was available with either the "arched" lid or the "horn" lid. In order to be a "25" it must have the full-length cabinet with cabriole legs. Sorry to nit-pick, but I'm kind of a nut about Keen-O-Phone (and otherwise!). Thanks for the correction..that explains why I have never seen my keenophone in the literature. The model like mine I have always seen with the other style top. Great to have friends to help us learn these things..

I'm needing parts for my Keenophone 25. I need a back tube and tone arm. Real gem of a Phonograph Joe! They are scarce!!

Thanks for the static! Retirement? To paraphrase an iconic figure of the cinema -- "We don't need no stinkin' retirements!"

I wish I had extra parts for these machines, the "spiral arm" is especially impossible. The front of the arm, with articulated "elbow" and soundbox can be taken from the early models of the Rex Talking Machine. They took over Keen-O-Phone's factory and used up whatever parts they could. Keen-O-Phone used two versions of its first motor, and, at the end, an entirely different motor. I'm curious about the machine you posted images of. I see that you are winding it up with a Victrola crank, which "theoretically" shouldn't be possible... could I ask to see a couple images of the motor? Just curious as to which one it is.
