What did this horn come off of?

Post by ts_13 »

Thank you for help. This is probably a dumb question, but I cannot figure out what this small horn came off of. It is painted a wood grain pattern and looks like an Edison, but the end is straight and has 2 brackets so it can be screwed to a cabinet.

Thank you again for the help.

That might be from a radio. What is it made of and its general size?

It looks to me as the horn from an Amberola D-X.

What are its dimensions? I have one I can compare to it.

It is very close to my Amberola 30 horn, metal, and size. I know its an internal horn, i just have not seen one that would be screwed down.

I will measure it when I get home. Like I said it is very close to my 30 in dimensions.

If anyone needs one I have one...I have no use for it.

Agreed! I think you are correct. That looks pretty well spot on.

I believe it's from a small Amberola made from Fireside or Gem parts. Jerry

If the graining is Oak, then it is an X series Amberola. The most common ones are X and D-X. It's hard to see the graining in the pictures.
