I am not selling this Item, I live in Illinois, not California. Anyhow this was among 14 records I cut July 6th,2002. The description is spot on to the events of the day. The seller contacted me, about 6 years ago, and he included my response in the sale. I am sure this is out of the league of Phonograph Collectors, and more the moe. fan or moeners. Just found the asking price pretty shocking. Will be interesting if it sells.

The Seller wants $2600.00 for this. I made and recorded the cylinder, and the information the seller has is correct. The seller contacted me many years ago, when he purchase the cylinder, at a charity auction, I think it went for over $400.00, around 2006. The band moe. is a BMG affiliated band having moe.'s subsidiary Fatboy Records. The CD that the moe. laughing record was on, won a Jammy Award, which I went to Madison Square Garden in NYC in 2004. Would this be a record breaker if this record sells. Somewhere is about 400 live cylinders I recorded at concerts and some odd experiments, some setting up electrical recorders ect, they were made from 2002-2004. At Madison, I recorded The Allman Brothers, Slick Rick, and Steve Winwood, live to cylinder. I have a few CD's with some of those cylinders. I wonder how many phonograph enthusiasts have taken a phonograph to a major event like the Jammy Awards at Madison Square Garden to to moedown, and Dead Concerts?

It will be interesting in the next few days to see if it sells.
They have hundreds of thousands of fans. Many Deadheads like them, they host a moedown in New York, kind of like a mini Woodstock event. It is a one and only cylinder. I know I made it. And you can tell the blank is an earlier one of mine.

Well We will see if it sells in the next day. I can see the tong and cheek ribbing , however who will eat a wax cylinder if it sells? Our very own Mica Monster alerted me that it was up for auction, other than that I would not have known.
