"The phonograph is not of any commercial value."

"No one needs a Victrola XX, a Perfected Graphophone Type G, or whatever you call those noisy things."

A very interesting and odd (fun) looking machine. It seems a bit high in price, but then again, who has ever seen one. I am always attracted to things that are a bit different in the hobby. While I love all the normal machines, the occasional odd machine really can make a collection interesting.

This is pure conjecture, but I'm guessing that this was used in a projection booth or perhaps a radio station. Very heavy duty casting. Very cool machine!

I would really like to buy it, but 650 euros plus 101 for shipping is too much for a novelty...

Re: Here's Something Funky from 1930...
Sometimes such a machine appears on the German market. These players are quite rare, but 650 are too expensive. There were different models, among others this open table model, and one for the installation in a cabinet....
By the way: Mr. Levy died - on vacation - in Italy in 1932 at the age of 63 - and escaped in this way from a presumably worse fate.
His wife died already in 1921, she was only 44 years old!
