Re: Edison ?
Late W-250 or more likely W-19. This is the "William and Mary" style. Less common than the C-250/C-19, but not rare. It's also a beast; a big, tall, wide monster that has no casters. They sound no better or worse than any other model with a #250 horn.
Clearly needs cosmetic work, but if it works properly and the stylus is good, the $299 price is reasonable.

Re: Edison ?
That would be the W-250 or W-19 or William and Mary model. A later model I believe since it has a door and not the drawer. The price is decent, imho, if it plays and it's all original and in solid shape. Looks to have some issues and less common than the C-250/19. Probably could talk them down a bit though. Yes and Edison diamond disc phonograph.

Thinking of taking a drive and take a look at this machine. Found a photo on the forum which shows a W250 with the door pull in the center, I notice this example has the pull on the right side. After I check it out may make them an offer. Didn't have much luck with Brunswick. Cheers

Here's mine with the door pull in the center. It's the drawer version. On the right would be the door version. Good Luckdutchman wrote:Thinking of taking a drive and take a look at this machine. Re: Edison ?
Hard to tell from the picture but it looks to me like someone has made a pretty good grill copy with a scroll saw. The fretwork seems to be thicker than an original. The cabinet also has some other issues, again need better pics.
The W-250, W-19 model is the best sounding of the pre-Edisonics imho. The larger horn space and open grill area make it sound better than a Chippendale C-250 or C-19. The difference is noticeable.

Re: Edison ?
Well a drawer explains the center door pull..
Yep that cabinet appears to have a few issues. There is something sitting behind the grille on the left side which looks like a reproducer....Appreciate the replies.. Cheers and have a good weekend.

Re: Edison ?
Yes it sure does look like a 2nd reproducer. Check to see if it has a larger weight. You may get lucky and get a 2nd thrown in the deal, or better yet, an Edisonic.

Re: Edison ?
Well after driving most of the morning checked out the machine. Appears a dog or cat ate most of the trim around the bottom as well as the legs. The reproducer hidden behind the grille (which is coming apart) is the pieces of an adapter to play non-Edison discs. It wound up ok and played. Needs Veneer work on the top of course. Has the original Edison key. I made an offer of $100 for parts - They took my number and said if it sits around a few more days they will give me a call and take the offer. would be a summer project. Cheers
