FOR SALE: Hand Wind Berliner No. 10 Magazine Advertisement Cut-Out - $55 OBO, postpaid to any US address. Non-US locations, as cost. Only the blue and black print is included....not the STYLE No. 10 image from an early Berliner catalogue.
Condition: Super clean.
Original advertisement for the Berliner Style No. 10 (i.e. $10). Circa 1894-5. Which as far as I know, is the only catalogued Berliner that has never surfaced. It was sold with no horn and was supplied with two 5-½" records (Beyond RARE); see catalogue pic attached. The hand wind Berliner's we see today were catalogued as the No. 15 (i.e. $15).
For sale here is a 5" by 7-⅜" cut-out from a magazine published by Curtis Publishing. I have had this a long time and do not know which magazine it came from. And note the interesting marketing ploy in the text; "With each Machine ordered before Dec. 25 we will include an Amplifying Horn".
And if anyone can tell me why my images load sideways when they are straight on my computer, I will buy you 5 beers at Union.
Thanks for looking, Ken Flaherty

Ken,
Don't know why the photos load sideways, but try "pre-rotating" them on your computer and see if the website "straightens" them out. In other words, see if you can trick the website!

The photo files usually contain some extra metadata, pretty much like a tag of an .mp3 file. For images, this is usually handled by the EXIF (Exchangeable image file format) metadata format. They usually contain the exact creation date, sometimes location and even the device that was used, in your case an iPhone 5s.
This EXIF info can also include an orientation, which many operating systems and image viewers can read and understand - however, not all of them. While your OS on your computer and/or your image viewer is capable of reading the so called EXIF orientation information, the forum software cannot handle this and will display any image at its actual orientation, ignoring any EXIF info.
To have it displayed correctly, you will have to rotate the pictures manually. I use XnView MP for such simple tasks. It even has a tool called lossless JPEG conversion, works great: http://www.xnview.com/en/xnviewmp/

If you have a MAC computer it is easy to fix pictures from an iphone using Preview. If you change the size of an image even by just one pixel it corrects the issue.
