FOR SALE: Two Edison Amberola Model-80 Phonographs -INQUIRE

Post by rgordon939 »

A friend of mine is offering for sale two Edison Amberola Model 80 cylinder phonographs. One is Mahogany and the other is Oak. The Oak Model 80 is the only one known to exist in the world, and is also the same machine listed in Frow's book. These are very nice and very rare machines. You can contact the seller at [email protected] or feel free to contact me also by PM or at [email protected].

I had the impression they were exported to Australia. Very rare, regardless! If I had the space and money, I would jump on those!

An 80 was sold by Sotheby's in London many years ago and is pictured in the Frow book, but I have never seen one. The possibly unique oak version will command a high price, but what might the mahogany version be worth, in the unlikely event of one coming up for sale here in the UK?
