Slim Lamar Not Slim Lamar? (Victor V-40093)
I recently bought a copy of Slim Lamar's Southerners on Victor V-40093 doing "I've Got a Brand New Gal", but when I lowered my stylus on it, instead of some fine territory jazz, I was treated to some horrible Chinese racket. So did I buy a lemon, or is this an extremely rare misprint (or "mis-pressing")?

I can't see any matrix numbers in the wax, just the catalogue number (preceded by a tiny "A"), and it's the same as on the label (40093B). Also there a "1" at 9 o'clock.gramophone-georg wrote:What are the matrix numbers in the runout?
