New Old Stock Silvertone XI Grill

Post by Bronco-Jeff »

Sourced a New Old Stock Grill for my Silvertone XI. Got a small can of American Walnut and the picture below is
In-Progress. Just need to finish and lite coat of clear satin and I good to go. I also included the original broken and cracked grill for comparison.

A Big Shout out to George Vollema @ Great Lakes Antique Phonograph for finding this for me.

Will Post a Final Picture once the clear coat is on and back in the original frame.

Here is the Finished Grill...it came out perfect. Two coats of Minwax American Walnut and not clear coat.

I think the amount of gloss is just right.

What do you all think?

Thanks,

Jeff

I think it looks like it's always been there. Fantastic work. Where on earth did you find that grill NOS?
