This model does not seem fit on any of the standard cylinder cabinets that I have seen without spending $$$. What do those of you who own this model use to display the V ?
I think a nice cylinder cabinet would be best and I am toying with the idea of buying one of those and putting a custom sized tempered glass top over that and mounting it on that (which I think sounds crazy).
Any ideas?
I have a modest cylinder cabinet with the pegs that I would then sell.
TIA.
John.

Re: Question about the Amberola V
In light of the Union show being only 5 weeks away, and with Jerry willing to bring back a proper cylinder cabinet for you, I'd counsel patience. The "deep" cabinets turn up regularly.
You know as soon as you go to the expense of having plate glass cut to size for a too-small cabinet, the proper cabinet will show up.

Re: Question about the Amberola V
George had a good idea about finding something at Union. You'd need a cabinet 17" wide and 22" deep. You might place a wanted ad with those dimensions and try to pre-purchase an oak one to be delivered to Union. Jerry Blais

Re: Question about the Amberola V
If it's space you want, I've got the perfect solution. Buy my 1909 Columbia Regent library table phonograph, which some call the "desk model". Plenty of space there for several machines!

Re: Question about the Amberola V
More often than not, in period literature they were often displayed set on tables. An elegant period table might be another option for you.

Re: Question about the Amberola V
I think that that is also good advise. I think I'll not be so hasty.
Thanks to all.
