WANTED: Cabinet Part for Edison A-150

Post by OrthoSean »

I know this is likely a long shot, but does anyone out there in TMF-land have a trashed Mahogany A-150 (was there also a B-150?) cabinet that has the shelf? I'll be hauling home an otherwise really nice A-150 soon but the shelf is gone, yet the dowels and everything else is there and in great shape.

I've already asked George V. and he has nothing.

Thanks!
Sean

The bottom shelf that supports the legs or the bottom of the top part of the cabinet?

It's an open bottom shelf that was for disc storage. The A-100 also had an open bottom shelf. I actually have a full set of Edison Disc storage boxes I almost sold off a few times, now I'm glad I kept them!

I just picked up a trashed A-150...YESTERDAY! I haven't parted it out yet and before seeing your note just now fully planned to toss the entire cabinet.

Send me a PM and let's talk about fixing yours up.

There was a B-150: Frow relates that, after the factory fire, there were 3,158 150 cabinets still on order; by contract, the Company was obliged to purchase them. Therefore, they fitted the new "standardized" mechanism to them, and pushed jobbers to move them and clear out the inventory.

Thanks, I didn't have Frow here at work to check, but I vaguely recalled a B-150.

Peter - PM sent.

Thanks!
