Gone Free: COPY #2 Edison DD Charleston

Post by donniej »

Just trying to be fair to people with different schedules (hence the second post)...
DD 51542 - Charleston. Golden Gate Orchestra. This is an experimental resin, single sided copy. Unfortunately the spindle hole is .005"'- .010" off center which caused the stylus to chew up the first couple of grooves. Surface noise may be a little higher than the original (it may just be me) but it generally plays very well. The casting is aslo slightly uneven so one side will need leveling out with a piece of cardboard or similar (your reproducer may cope with it better than mine).
Despite its issues, it still seems like too nice a copy to throw out so the first person to reply "taken", or the disambiguous verbage or your choosing, gets it for free.
USA only, please.
If you're handy with a drill press, you may even be able to epoxy and redrill the spindle hole.
A new mold is in the works and well playing copies will be available in the "not too distant future".
