SOLD: NOS Everplay Phonograph Needle, Last One! - $100

Post by HisMastersVoice »

I have 4 NOS Everplay Needles available, $100 per needle. Can ship or bring to Union. 2 of them have their envelopes, and 2 do not because the envelopes fell apart, but they are also NOS. First come, first serve on choice. A must have for jukes and changers! I like to keep one on my portable, no needles to drop (or forget!) If you search the forum for "everplay" there's a ton of information from over the years.

I've used one of these in my 10-50 for several years now, they're fantastic and play with about the volume of a half tone needle. Mine has played through thousands of sides and it still has a ton of wire left, so these really are a great thing to have if you don't like changing needles!

Sean,
How do you know when it is necessary to cut the wire , Tungs-tone needles start to sound worn after awhile is this the case with this? And any scissors do the job ? Can you botch up a cut ?
Thanks Eric

You don't cut the wire, you turn the little star to let more out. When it wears down to nothing, the sound will degrade or cease to be produced, then you turn out a little more.

What HMV said, I tend to just check it now and then and when it looks to be almost down to the brass, I just turn it out a tick.

That's a awesome concept i have seen them around for many years but never heard any feedback if they really reproduced sound that was comprable to a steel needle.
Thanks Eric

Are there any used i.e. empty everplay devices out there that might be available?
