Bracket question for fireside
Was there a special cygnet bracket for the fireside? I finally got my bolts and nuts blues and was finally putting it on when...uh-oh...it doesn't fit! I took a pic for y'all to see. The top holes line up but it was hard to take pic and hold that. If there's another would someone want to trade with me?

You're right. I compared it to the one on my "F". Well [crap] when I bought it I didn't know it was different. Bamboozled! So this must be for a triumph or something idk.hearsedriver wrote:I think Standard, Home and Fireside uses the same bracket. Im not sure what your bracket fits.

I believe they are all the same. The only difference is the crane. A Fireside, Standard , and Home use the same crane. The Triumph is bigger to hold the 11 panel Cygnet horn. I know you have to finagle the bolts a bit, because it is a tight fit. I had to do that on my Triumph, because it was missing the bracket.

So this bracket must be a triumph bracket then. Well, I guess I need to try and trade or sell the one I have for another! Wish I was told that when I bought it but they're so similar in the pictures!Phonofreak wrote:I believe they are all the same. The only difference is the crane. Re: Bracket question for fireside
There were indeed two different sizes. I didn't know it until after 15 years of collecting. I had accumulated some parts and was putting one on a machine. I was surprised it didn't fit and reached for another one. On a whim I held the two back to back and realized there were different sizes. One being taller in the bolt pattern. I found the interesting thing was that they both had the same casting numbers on the interior portion of the backside.
I don't think you were "bamboozled" , it's just another one of those things you should measure and ask before you make the assumption it will fit. It's a constant learning curve.
