The last Vic. V I saw for sale with a wood horn sold for about five times the seller's asking price. Not sure what they are going for in these recessionary times, but I don't think prices have fallen by that much for a near top of the line machine.
These were in the $2-3K range a few years ago and seem to be around $2500 now from ones I saw at Wayne. I already have a V with an oak horn that is perfect. If I had the cash I'd have gone after this. I have alerted a friend of mine to it that has always wanted a V. I'm betting it's gone already, but maybe he'll get lucky! I'll keep y'all posted if I hear anything.
That IS a pretty good find. I just found a listing for an Amberola 30 complete with two cylinders for $80. I emailed to see if he still has it. I doubt he has it though if it was in working condition.
